Upcycled Tie Pouch Workshop

Time: Thursday 12 June at 10:30am - 1:00pm

Location: NEST Creative Spaces

oin us for a creative and eco-friendly workshop where we breathe new life into old neckties! In this relaxed and welcoming session, you’ll learn how to transform a tie into a beautiful and practical pouch — perfect for carrying glasses, a mobile phone, or any small essentials.

We’ll provide a selection of ties for you to choose from, but if you have a favourite one at home (wide ties work best), feel free to bring it along and make your pouch even more personal. This is a wonderful opportunity to reuse and repurpose materials, helping to reduce waste and keep perfectly good textiles out of landfill.

Sewing machines will be available for you to use, and friendly guidance will be on hand if you need a refresher. Alternatively, you can opt for hand sewing if you prefer a slower, more mindful approach.

To finish off your creation, you’re invited to rummage through our extensive collection of buttons and embellishments — all rescued and reused — to add that perfect final touch to your pouch.

No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to have fun, get creative, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Light refreshments are included. Suitable for age 12 and above.

If you find you cannot make it, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the space to someone else. Thank you.

Nest is an inclusive organisation and everyone is welcome. If you have any additional needs or require additional support during the workshop please contact us in advance of your booking so we can make sure we are able to provide it.
